Kathy’s skills as an artist cover a broad range of media from oils, pen and ink, colored pencils three-dimensional work, including original sculpted dolls. She worked for awhile as a commercial artist.
A “how-to” article and photos of her dolls have appeared in doll magazines. Kathy has earned
recognition in all the fields of art she has pursued.

Before retiring, Kathy spent most of her thirty-two years teaching first grade. She has also taught art to children of all ages, as well as adults. Kathy created several books for her classes over the years.
Often her books started as teaching tools, modeling for students how to paint with words and
use illustrations to add detail.
